Hey crafty friends, it’s Day 2 of The Rabbit Hole Designs new release and inspiration hop and today we are focusing on Cattitude, a sassy set with adorable cat images and sentiments that capture the essence of cats everywhere.
My first card is a belated birthday card with a lot of dimension. I stacked three white layers of a floral background die and glued them on top of a card base that I’d blended some green ink onto in the lower left corner. I added a few green leaf die cuts and a sitting cat that I’d colored with Copic markers. The cat and embossed sentiment strips are popped up with foam tape. To add a little sparkle, I added a few Max Red flat backed gems near the cat. I love the simple design with the pop of color and all of that dimension. Here’s a look at it from the bottom…
My second card has a cat that I stamped, embossed, and fussy cut with my ScanNCut. I added a little shading with grey Copic markers and popped it up with foam tape onto a wonky stitched rectangle that I’d embossed my sentiment onto. I popped the rectangle up with more foam onto a grey card base that I had silver embossed with flowers from the Pretty in Peony set. To finish the card, I added a few flat back pearls in coordinating colors. The sentiment on this card is hilarious and I know exactly who I’m giving this card to 😉
I hope I’ve given you a few ideas for the new Cattitude set. You could easily swap the cat images with dog images from the new Doggone set, or swap the dog images from yesterday’s cards with these cats, depending on who you are making cards for.
