Stretch Your Supplies for the New Heffy Doodlers Challenge

Hey crafty friends, it’s hard to believe that we’re already into February. The good news is that that means it’s time for a new Challenge in the Heffy Doodlers Facebook Group!

For this month’s challenge, I asked the Heffy Doodlers to vote for a theme, and the overwhelming choice was Stretching Your Supplies! I hope you’ll get creative and show us how you use your supplies in unexpected ways while making a card with Heffy Doodle products (mostly). Then, enter it for your chance to win a £35 gift card to spend in the Heffy Doodle Shop! (Woohoo!) The challenge starts now in the Heffy Doodlers Facebook Group, and runs through March 1st, 2020. To help get your creative juices flowing, I made this sweet little valentine…

Hello Squeakheart Cheese Heart Amanda Stevens 2

A great way to stretch your supplies is to die cut a shape, then turn it into something else. For my card, I cut a pair of hearts, then cut away a bunch of circles from the top layer to turn it into a piece of cheese. I tucked a few die cut sweet little mice from Hello Squeakheart between the layers and added a sentiment down below. The pink hearts scattered around the card were cut from the coordinating dies for a different stamp set. Check your stash to see what goodies are hiding inside! I’ve got a video that shows you how I made the cheese heart, as well as several other different ways to use your dies. You can see it here.

I encourage you to go through your supplies and look at them in a different light. If you turn them sideways, or use them with non-traditional colors, will they look like something else? Challenge yourself to pull out your Heffy Doodle stamps, stencils, or dies and get started! To enter, go to the Heffy Doodlers Facebook Group and post a picture of your project in the February 2020 Challenge album (it will be pinned to the top). Enter as many cards as you like. The winner will be randomly chosen from all entries posted prior to Midnight (UT) on March 1, 2020. You are not limited to cards, feel free to post tags, scrapbook pages, home decor projects, etc. Just be sure the bulk of the stamps and dies used are from Heffy Doodle. Good luck my friend!

  1. This is absolutely adorable! thanks for the how-to on the heart cheese too! I was sure it was a coverplate die. 😉

  2. This is so so so soooo cute!! I love the theme. We all have a ton of crafty stuff, and would love to learn new ways to use what we have.

  3. Love the idea of punching holes in the heart shape to make cheese. When I’ve needed a cheese image, I’ve had to google a piece of clip art. (Never again!!!)
