Hello again my crafty friend. Today, I’ve got a clean and simple mini-slimline card for you, and I think you’ll agree, it’s very sweet. With minimal coloring, it came together very quickly too.
Knowing I didn’t want to draw in a scene, I decided to trim my white panel down to 2 5/8″ x 5 5/8″ to start. This way, there wouldn’t be a ton of extra space around the image. I stamped the bunny kissing a butterfly image from the new Butterfly Kiss stamp set in Warm Glow ink. Then, I stamped the grass on top. There was no need to mask, since the ink almost disappears when coloring. While I had the panel in my Misti, I stamped the sentiment in black ink at the same time.
Bunny – E11, E51, E000, RV23, RV00, Sepia Multiliner 0.1
Butterfly – RV04, RV23, RV00, E49, Black Multiliner 0.1, White Gel Pen, Shimmer Pen
Grass – G16, YG03
Using a handful of Copic markers, I colored the image, making sure to leave quite a bit of white space on the bunny. A black Copic Multiliner pen allowed me to darken up the butterfly antenna, and add a little more black to the card. With a Sepia Multiliner pen, I outlined the bunny eye, mouth, and nose. A few white gel pen dots and a swipe of shimmer pen added the detail and shine to the butterfly wings.
To pull the card together, I mounted the panel to a 3 1/4″ x 6 1/4″ kraft mini-slimline card base with foam tape. Then, I glued on a few white gems to add more sparkle and interest. That’s it, quick and easy! It fits into a #7 coin envelope.
