Dance Party Light-up Card with Jeannie Lieu

Hi everyone! It’s Jeannie (InsideoutJeans) back on the blog today guest designing for Pear Blossom Press, using the EZ-Light. After my first time using these lights for my first post, I’m so excited to share another fun and colorful card with the added touch of lights!

I’ve had a few Ink Blot Shop stamp sets for awhile and I’ve been wanting to create with the Skyline Borders for a long time. After using the EZ-light in my previous card, I finally thought of the perfect way to use the set.

Remember when you when you went to school dances and you took group photos or photos with your date? The border made the perfect background for a fun photo op.

I’m sharing my process from start to end in this video…

Since one EZ-Light includes 3 lights, they light up three of the stars within the photo backdrop. I just wanted them to shine bright so I added vellum behind the holes I cut out of the stars.

For the light itself, you just need to pop the battery into the unit. The unit has three wires that lead to three lights. I just used scotch tape to ensure the lights were in the exact spots of the stars. For the unit itself, I used double sided adhesive to attach to my card base. It was so easy to do!

I cannot stress how easy it is to incorporate an EZ-Light into a card and I’m just giddy about it!
