It’s time for the Heffy Friends Blog Hop! Today we are celebrating the new release from Heffy Doodle with lots of inspiration and a giveaway, too! If you’re coming from Rachel’s blog, you’re in the right place. If this is your first stop, I’ve got the whole list down below.
I can’t stop playing with the Hot Diggity Dog stamp set. I just love the adorable pups, and all of the fun scene-building stamps included. It pairs perfectly with the Build A Cabin die set. For today’s card, I lightly stamped the dog and potted flower, then cut them out with the coordinating dies. I also cut out the cabin, along with two each of it’s separate roof, door frame, step, and bone. I colored everything with Copic markers, then glued the cabin layers together. The door is hinged, but I cut it off so I could tuck my pup inside. (He was facing the opposite direction so I couldn’t tuck him in from the other side.) With the dog glued inside, I glued the door behind him, to make it look like it was the back wall of the cabin.
To create a scene for my images, I ink blended greens along the bottom, and pale blue in the sky. A cloud stencil helped add some interest to the sky, and green Copic markers added quick blades of grass to the ground. After I glued the dog house and potted flower to the scene, I matted it on white cardstock, then to a Oyster Shell card base. I finished the card with a stamped sentiment from the Close At Heart Sentiment set, and a few matte white sequins. I chose not to add any glitter to this card, because I want to send it to my dad. I haven’t seen him since quarantine, and I’m missing him. He’s a dog person, not a glitter person, lol.
Ready for more inspiration? The next stop is with Francesca! To celebrate the hop, Heffy Doodle will be giving away a £50 voucher to the Heffy Doodle Store!! Make sure to comment on each stop in the hop to be entered for your chance to win. The winner will be selected randomly and announced on the Heffy Doodle blog on August 25th. (Complete contest rules can be found on the Heffy Doodle Blog as well.)
