Put a Bow on It

We’re going to wrap up day 3 of The Rabbit Hole Designs‘ inspiration hop and put a bow on it! That’s punny because today we’re showcasing the new Put a Bow on It Stamp Set & Square Illusion Stencil. I’ve also got a bonus taco card featuring the Sassy Sentiment – Anti Valentine Stamp Set. (I mean, who can resist a good taco card; am I right?)

First the bows…Now if you saw Kathy Racoosin’s post featuring the Put a Bow on It Stamp Set, don’t look at mine. Wow, I mean really, she is so talented. Lol, I’ve got a lot to learn. Luckily, I’m taking another class with her next week, so I’ll be taking better notes. For my version, I stamped, embossed, and Copic colored the image. Then I used my ScanNCut to cut it out (there is a coordinating die for it though). I popped it up onto an ink blended background with foam tape. The image is so large, I knew I could put a sentiment strip on top without covering up too much. I picked a funny stamp from the Sassy Sentiment – Anti Valentine set and stamped it onto a die cut banner. I decided to add the wine glass and bottle to reference the the sentiment. A little Diamond Glaze and some sequins finish off the card nicely.

The Sassy Sentiment – Anti Valentine Stamp Set cracks me up! I know I’m going to get a ton of use out of it, in fact I already am. All three of my cards today feature sentiments from it. For the one above, I simply stenciled on a background with the new Square Illusion Stencil. I thought the squares almost looked like hearts, so I used shades of red to highlight them. Then I popped up a funny sentiment strip with foam tape and added some flat backed gems. For the taco card below, I was inspired by the sentiment to create a 3D taco from random dies in my stash. The shell is a circle, the tomatoes too, but I cut them in half. The lettuce and meat are clouds. The cheese pieces are cut from curtain tie backs. Lol, take a look through your stash and ask yourself what dies could work for the shape you are looking for.
