It’s time for a new release from The Rabbit Hole Designs and this one is out of this world! The new space themed stamps and star stencils are adorable and I’ve been having a ton of fun coloring them. I mean, any excuse to create a galaxy background is good, right?
For today’s card, I stamped out the astronaut holding a moon balloon from the Infinity & Beyond stamp set, and I added a few smaller moons from the Space – Miss You stamp set. Then, I used a Copic liner pen to continue the lines near his feet to the edges of the panel, creating a planet for him to stand on. After I colored the images with my Copic markers, I loaded the panel into my ScanNCut, scanned the images, then switched the panel out on the mat for a piece of masking paper, and cut out the images.
With the masks in place, it was time to create the galaxy background! I used a few Distress Oxide colors to add red and purple to a few areas, then black distress ink all over the place. Don’t worry, it looked awful at that point; they always do. The magic started to happen when I splattered on Liquid Pixie Dust and watered down Copic White ink.
I removed the masking paper and revealed the scene. Then, I trimmed it down and mounted it on a gold glitter card base with foam tape. An embossed sentiment banner and the top, and some tiny silver star confetti glued randomly to the scene finished the card.
What is your favorite way to create a galaxy background? I have another one to show you later this week with a different medium. Are you ready to see what the rest of the team has made with the new Infinity & Beyond stamp set? Hop along with us and see…

Amanda – you are here
I have just used Distress Ink and added drips of water. I know that there are washi tapes and papers out there that have them already done, but haven’t bought them. This looks great. I like that you made masks. This looks amazing.
Smooshing, using the powders onto water – not good at
explaining what I do. Love the unexpected finish project.

Cute little pot belly moon critter! Amazing the galaxy affect ! You had to love the immediate change from cartoony to fabulous! Great card.?♥️
Wow! I love how you used the masking technique! A beautiful card!
So pretty! You always make beautiful cards!
Great look to the background.
Just too cute to avoid TRHD but waiting til the 8th. Also loved Lesley’s version yesterday. You gals make it hard to avoid “purchase and wish” syndrome. Loved explanation of your galaxy which seems easier than many but looks fantastic.
